Student Programs 

The Hartford Area Career and Technology Center offers a wide variety of programs for students looking to expand their career readiness.  Please explore our program options listed to the right. 

How to apply to the HACTC (pdf)

For help completing your HACTC application, please see your school counselor or call the HACTC School Counseling Coordinator, Tim Hebert, at 802-359-4724.

  • Students are encouraged to complete an interest/ability inventory at their home high schools.

  • Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend a HACTC Virtual Town Hall
  • Students and parents/guardians complete the entire HACTC application online, including a parent/guardian signature. Students can apply for a first choice program and a second choice program, if interested, in case the first choice program has more applicants than spaces available. The application will be live on the HACTC.com home page starting March 5, 2021.

  • School counselors will be notified when a student submits their online application, and counselors will then provide a transcript and additional paperwork directly to the HACTC.

  • Student applications, including supplemental forms and transcripts from school counselors, are due to the HACTC by Friday, March 19, 2021. Please allow extra time prior to March 19 for school counselors to complete the supplemental forms on your behalf.

  • Students will be notified of acceptance status (acceptance, wait list or denied) by the week of school break in April.

 

Students from Rivendell Academy and Thetford Academy may apply for the following HACTC programs:

  • Business Administration
  • Collision Repair and Refinishing
  • Design, Illustration and Media Arts
  • Industrial Mechanics and Welding
  • Natural Resources
  • STEM: Introduction to Engineering Design
  • STEM: Principles of Engineering


Students from White River Valley High School may apply for the following HACTC programs:

  • Business Administration
  • Collision Repair and Refinishing
  • Cosmetology
  • Industrial Mechanics and Welding
  • Natural Resources
  • STEM: Introduction to Engineering Design
  • STEM: Principles of Engineering
